Healthy Early Years
Curriculum for Excellence has at its heart the aspiration that all children should be successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. The promotion of health is a key component in developing these capacities.
At Greenbank Pre School we strive to embed a healthy outlook, in its widest sense, into our daily activities.
We are proud to have achieved accreditation level one on the Healthy Early Years programme and to be the first in Edinburgh to do so.
In this accreditation process we have taken a good look at 2 core areas;
- Organisation, ethos and climate,
- Curriculum, Teaching and Learning
We have also consulted and focused on additional areas which help broaden the work of our establishment.
This is part of a long term piece of work and is reflected in our School Development Plan.
